The weeks leading up to Calan’s first birthday were pretty eventful. Little C finally started crawling, real crawling, very tentatively the day after he turned 11 months old – but by the end of the month, he was crawling like a pro. He still wasn’t pulling to stand, but had started getting up on his knees, and started assisted walking too! He’s also discovered putting objects into something (box, bowl), not just taking them out. Speaking of putting
things in, he is at long last finger-feeding. He loves crackers, “puffs” and cheerios especially:) Sometimes he enjoys reveling in his new-found skill by clapping! Another new-found skill:)
A week after C turned one year old, we went in for his well-check, and he is now in the 50th-60th percentile for height/weight, so he’s climbing the charts. But the the doc still says we’re behind on milestones, so we scheduled an evaluation with the school district. I
decided to go ahead and do it just to humor the doc, since it’s easy and no-cost. But I think he’s just doing everything in his own good time:)
On to month thirteen! . . . .
These are beautiful pictures of the best grandson ever.
